They may be small but when you’re riding a 110 pit bike with a big bore exhaust clocked at almost 55 miles per hour you’ll get addicted to the thrill in no time!  If you don’t know what a pit bike is, Dude you’ve got a lot to learn about this powerful little monster made to rip in and out of the pits.

These bikes have been around for almost ten year and most popular in California.   The whole concept started so that regular motocross riders could get around the pit area.  That’s the area where cars are parked and riders set up before an event.  Pit bikes including the 110 pit bike should have a 12 inch front wheel and a ten inch rear wheel.  It’s basically around half the size of a normal dirt bike.  They start at 50 cc engines and go up to 125 ccs.  Outside the pits, you’ll see them ‘paddock bashing’, racing, jumping and performing tricks.

If you’re interested in learning more about pit bikes check out some of your local bike organizations or go online to find out more.  You’ll find these bikes don’t take up any room in the garage and they’re totally easy to transport.  Mechanically, they’re very basic so they don’t cost a lot to maintain.  If you want to modify one, go ahead.  It doesn’t take much money or time to add power.  Check out the most fun on two wheels, the 110 pit bike is going to take you for the ride of your life!
